Meridian Terms of Use
Meridian is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add a few points specific to Meridian. Meridian is made by Manish Kumar, publishing as PurpleDaisy.
Check the values Meridian reads
Meridian reads reports automatically on your iPhone. Automatic reading can make mistakes: creases, faded print, unusual layouts or complex reports can lead to missed tests, wrong values or wrong units. You are responsible for checking the results against your original report before you rely on them or share them.
Not medical advice
- Meridian organizes and displays your results. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice.
- “High” and “Low” follow the reference range your laboratory printed. When a report prints no range, Meridian uses a general adult range, which may differ from your laboratory’s. Values Meridian works out from a report, such as HOMA-IR and the triglyceride/HDL ratio, are marked as calculated.
- A flag is not a diagnosis or an emergency. Always ask a doctor or other qualified health professional about your results. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Your data
Your records are kept on your iPhone and are never sent to us, so we cannot access, recover or delete them for you. Keeping backups is up to you: from Meridian 1.7, your iPhone backup includes Meridian unless you turn that off, and you can export a password-protected backup file. See the Meridian Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions
Some features need a Premium subscription (monthly or yearly). Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store under Apple’s terms, renew automatically until you cancel, and are managed in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple. Meridian uses RevenueCat to check your subscription; RevenueCat receives no health data.

If these terms change, we will update this page and its date.
